Privacy at Truth n Dare
Last updated: 21 October 2026
Truth n Dare is a free Truth or Dare game. You can play without an account, and we never ask for your name, email, phone number or birth date. There are no ads and no tracking cookies.
What stays on your phone
These are saved only in your browser on this phone, and never sent to us:
- player names you type
- your own questions (unless you choose to suggest one, see below)
- your level, settings and Family mode PIN
- which cards you have already seen, and cards you disliked or reported
- your answer to “Is everyone playing 18 or older?” (asked again each time the game is opened)
Browsers can delete this data, for example Safari after 7 days without a visit. Use “My questions → Back up” to keep a copy of your questions.
What is sent, only when you choose
- Like, Dislike and Report on a built-in card: the card number, your choice and, for a report, the reason.
- Suggest a question (off unless you switch it on): the question text, its type, level, the language and the day.
- Feedback: the face you picked, the topics, your optional note, the language and the day.
Each is sent with the game version. We never send player names, questions you did not suggest, emails or device IDs. Before sending, the game refuses text that contains a phone number, an email, a link or an @name.
Suggestions, feedback and ratings are stored with Netlify, the company that hosts the game. We do not store your internet address (IP address) with them. A person reads every suggestion before it can appear in the game, and may edit it. By suggesting a question you let us use it in the game for free. Rejected suggestions are deleted after 30 days.
Spam protection
To stop robots, only a limited number of suggestions can be sent each hour. If robots become a problem, we may add Cloudflare Turnstile, a free spam check that shows no puzzle; it uses your internet address for a moment and we never store it.
Visit counts
When the game opens, it sends one anonymous “visit” per day, whether this is the first time the game was opened on this device, and how many spins and cards were played that day. No name, ID or internet address is sent or stored with it; we only add the numbers to each day’s totals. If we switch on GoatCounter later, it also counts a few anonymous events without cookies or personal data.
Children
Kids & Family has no ads and collects nothing personal. In Kids & Family and in Family mode, a grown-up check appears before any text can be sent. Couples and Spicy are for adults only and ask whether everyone is 18 or older.
